This publication by Susan Cianciolo is published on occasion of the exhibition at Cibrián Gallery in San Sebastian, Spain. The title of the exhibition is The Giants of the Circle and with The Birds of Circus, The Hawk Looks out with The Golden Eagle, Adult and Juvenile. The publication features a small insert with the script inside that will be recited for the opening night performance by the performers reading from the book itself. The publication includes costumes and the show’s installation concepts of how the gallery will look during the performance and for the remainder of the show.

Susan Cianciolo puts love into everything she creates. Long recognized for her clothing line, Run, Cianciolo’s boundless creativity is evident throughout her multifaceted practice, which includes designing books, theatre costumes, films and forms of ephemera that defy the categorizations of fashion, craft and art. Appreciation for Cianciolo’s tender sensibilities has been celebrated with recent exhibitions at Bridget Donahue Gallery in New York, Overduin & Co. in Los Angeles and the South London Gallery. Her work ushers our understanding of clothing away from the flighty world of trends and towards an awareness of spirituality and imagination.

Susan Cianciolo (b.1969) is a visual artist and designer who received her BFA from Parsons School of Design, New York, NY in 1992, a BFA from Parsons School of Design, Paris, France in 1991 and also studied at Winchester School of Art, Winchester, England. In addition to her visual arts practice, she was founder and designer of RUN Collection from 1995-2001, whose presentations were repeatedly shown at Andrea Rosen gallery.
