Raymond Pettibon first gained notoriety when his artwork appeared on flyers and album covers for Black Flag, a band led by his older brother, Greg Ginn, as well as several other artists on his brother's record label, SST Records in the late 1970s through the mid 1980s. His art has since appeared on releases by Sonic Youth, Mike Watt, the Foo Fighters, and OFF!, amongst others.
